Terms & Conditions

Last updated 17 May 2026. These terms govern your use of Supa Takeover (supatakeover.co.uk). By creating an account, joining a takeover, uploading a video, or otherwise using the platform, you agree to be bound by them. If you don't agree, please don't use the site.

In plain English

  • • SUPAXXL is a community group, not a registered business — we run this platform for the love of parkour and the community.
  • • Parkour is risky. Trying any challenge on this site is your own decision and your own responsibility.
  • • Anyone can create a takeover and set their own challenges, rules, age limits and waivers. SUPAXXL doesn't vet or endorse those challenges.
  • • You own the videos and photos you upload, but by uploading them you let us show them on the platform.
  • • Donations are voluntary, non-refundable, and don't buy you any special service.

1

About these terms

Supa Takeover ("the platform", "we", "us", "our") is run by SUPAXXL, an informal community group of parkour athletes and volunteers. SUPAXXL is not a registered company or partnership; there is no limited-liability entity behind the platform. References to "we" or "us" in these terms mean the SUPAXXL community as a whole.

"You", "your" and "user" mean any person who accesses the platform, registers an account, or interacts with takeovers, challenges, submissions, or other content on the site.

We may update these terms from time to time — typically to reflect new features, to clarify wording, or to keep up with the law. When we do, we'll update the "last updated" date at the top of this page. Material changes will be flagged in-app or by email. Continued use of the platform after a change means you accept the updated terms.

2

Your account

To upload submissions, join a takeover or run one yourself, you'll need an account. By creating one you confirm that:

  • You are at least 13 years old. UK data-protection law requires parental consent for children under 13 to use online services that process personal data, and we don't currently support a parental consent flow. Individual takeover creators may set higher age limits for their own events — read their rules before joining.
  • The details you give us are accurate and you'll keep them up to date.
  • You are responsible for keeping your password secret, and for everything that happens through your account. Tell us straight away (supaxxl@gmail.com) if you think someone else has accessed it.
  • You will only create one account for yourself, and you won't impersonate anyone else.

We may suspend or close your account if you break these terms, abuse the platform, put others at risk, or if we're required to by law.

How takeovers work

A takeover is a parkour event hosted on the platform by someone in the community (the "creator"). Creators set their own challenges, judging rules, age limits, eligibility, prizes (if any), entry codes, deadlines, terms of entry, and any waivers or consents they want participants to sign.

If you create a takeover, you are responsible for:

  • Setting safe, sensible challenges that are appropriate for the participants you're inviting.
  • Publishing your own terms, age requirements, waivers and consent forms for your event — including for under-18s where applicable.
  • Moderating sign-ups, threads and submissions in your takeover, including removing anything inappropriate.
  • Judging submissions fairly and in line with the rules you publish.
  • Complying with any local laws around running events, prize draws, or filming in public places.

If you join someone else's takeover, you are responsible for reading and accepting their rules and waivers, and for deciding whether the challenges are something you're capable of attempting safely.

4 — Important

Safety, risk & your own decisions

Parkour, freerunning, tricking and similar activities carry a real risk of serious injury or death. Every challenge on this platform is something someone else has decided to set. By attempting any challenge — or by travelling to a meeting spot, training session or event organised through the platform — you accept that risk yourself.

Specifically, you acknowledge and agree that:

  • SUPAXXL does not set, vet, approve or endorse the challenges created by individual takeover creators. We provide the platform; creators set the content.
  • SUPAXXL does not provide coaching, training, medical, or safety advice. Nothing on the platform is a substitute for proper training, supervision, or professional advice.
  • You — and only you — decide whether a challenge is within your ability, and whether to attempt it. If in doubt, don't try it.
  • You are responsible for warming up, scouting the spot, assessing the surface, the weather, and any obstacles, and for stopping if anything feels unsafe.
  • You are responsible for having any needed permission to film or train at a location, and for following local laws.
  • If you are under 18, you should only attempt challenges with the knowledge and consent of a parent or guardian, and ideally under appropriate supervision.
  • You take part entirely at your own risk. SUPAXXL, takeover creators, judges, and other users are not liable for any injury, loss or damage you suffer as a result of attempting a challenge, travelling to a spot, or participating in any event organised via the platform, to the fullest extent permitted by law.

5

Content you upload

You keep ownership of any videos, photos, comments, profile information and other material you upload ("your content"). By uploading it you grant SUPAXXL a worldwide, non-exclusive, royalty-free licence to host, store, display, reformat, compress, generate thumbnails of, and share your content for the purposes of running the platform — including showing it to takeover creators, judges, other athletes, and visitors to the public scoreboards and takeover pages. This licence ends when you delete the content or your account, except where we need to retain a copy briefly for backups or to comply with the law.

You warrant that:

  • You own your content, or have all the rights and permissions you need to upload it (including from anyone who appears in it).
  • Your content doesn't infringe anyone else's intellectual property, privacy, or other rights.
  • Your content isn't unlawful, defamatory, hateful, harassing, sexually explicit, or otherwise harmful.
  • You haven't been paid by a third party to feature their product or service without disclosing it.

We can remove any content at any time, for any reason — typically because it breaks these terms, breaks a takeover creator's rules, or because we've been asked to by someone with a legitimate complaint. We don't pre-moderate every upload, but we will act when we become aware of an issue.

6

Acceptable use

When using the platform, you agree not to:

  • Upload anything illegal, infringing, defamatory, threatening, hateful, sexually explicit, or grossly offensive.
  • Harass, bully, dox, stalk, or impersonate other users.
  • Encourage anyone to attempt a challenge that is reckless, illegal, or beyond their stated ability.
  • Submit videos that aren't yours, or that misrepresent who completed the challenge or when.
  • Try to break or probe the security of the platform (scraping, automated requests, exploiting vulnerabilities, evading rate limits, etc.).
  • Use the platform to spam, phish, or distribute malware.
  • Resell, redistribute, or commercialise the platform's content without our written consent.

If you spot anything that breaks these rules, please email supaxxl@gmail.com.

7

Donations

You can optionally donate any amount when you create a takeover (or at other points we may add in future) to help cover hosting and tooling costs. Donations are:

  • Voluntary — you can use the platform fully without donating.
  • Non-refundable, except where refunds are required by law.
  • Not a subscription — there's nothing to cancel, and no recurring charge.
  • Not a payment for goods or services — you aren't buying anything. As a thank-you, donating may unlock instant approval of a takeover instead of waiting for a manual review, but that's a courtesy, not a contractual benefit you can demand or sue over.

Donations are processed by PayPal. Their terms apply to the payment itself; we never see your card or bank details.

8

Intellectual property

The platform itself — including the SUPAXXL name, logo, design, code, copy and other materials we've created — belongs to SUPAXXL (or its contributors, where licensed to us). You can use it as a logged-in user under these terms, but you don't get any other rights to copy, modify, or republish it.

If you believe content on the platform infringes your copyright, send a takedown notice to supaxxl@gmail.com including a link to the offending content, proof of your rights, and your contact details. We'll review and respond as soon as we can.

9

Suspension & termination

You can stop using the platform and delete your account at any time. We can also suspend or close your account, remove your content, or block access to the platform if:

  • You break these terms or a takeover creator's rules.
  • Your behaviour is putting other users, the community, or the platform at risk.
  • We're required to by law or by a court order.
  • We need to take the platform down (in whole or in part) for technical, operational, or safety reasons.

We'll usually let you know why and, where reasonable, give you a chance to put things right. Termination doesn't refund any donations or unlock any compensation.

10

Disclaimers & limitation of liability

The platform is provided "as is" and "as available". We do our best to keep it running smoothly, but we don't promise it will always be uninterrupted, error-free, secure against every threat, or fit for any particular purpose. We may change, suspend or discontinue features at any time.

To the fullest extent permitted by law:

  • SUPAXXL is not liable for any injury, illness, loss, damage, theft or other harm you suffer as a result of attempting any challenge, travelling to any spot, or participating in any event organised via the platform.
  • SUPAXXL is not responsible for the conduct of takeover creators, judges, athletes or other users, or for any disputes between them.
  • SUPAXXL is not liable for any indirect, incidental, special, consequential or punitive loss, or for loss of profits, data or goodwill, arising from your use of the platform.

Nothing in these terms limits or excludes any liability that cannot lawfully be limited or excluded — including liability for death or personal injury caused by our own negligence, or for fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.

11

Privacy & cookies

How we handle the personal information you give us — your email, profile, content, and so on — is set out in our cookie policy (which covers cookies and browser storage in detail), and you can email supaxxl@gmail.com with any privacy questions or requests.

12

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of England & Wales. Any dispute that can't be resolved by talking will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England & Wales — though if you are a consumer living elsewhere in the UK, you may also bring proceedings in your local courts.

Contact

We're a community group, not a business, so the best way to reach us is by email: supaxxl@gmail.com. Whether you've spotted a bug, want to report something that breaks these terms, or just want to say hi — drop us a line and a human will reply when they can.
